The compact Ceramill Base System milling unit produces high-precision zirconia frameworks for crowns and bridges in-house quickly and easily without the capital expenses associated with automated CAD/CAM systems. The milling unit uses the pantograph principle to transfer forms via a combination of an interconnected probe head and milling head. Using a process similar to that of simply modeling with wax, the system requires no special technical knowledge. Finished results are reliable and precise.

Indicated for use in conjunction with the battery-operated Sonic denture cleaning unit, TCS Concentrated Denture Cleaner is formulated to gently clean removable appliances, including thermoplastics, suction-cup and soft liners, nightguards, partials, and dentures. Optimized for highly efficient milling, the IPS e.max CAD LT lithium disilicate ceramic precrystallized blocks can be milled in the Sirona inLab MC XL or KaVo Everest CAD/CAM units. After milling, the block is simply crystallized during a short firing cycle in a traditional porcelain furnace. The restoration can be milled to full contour then crystallized, stained, and glazed in one firing or finished using the cut-back and layer technique. The final restoration exhibits a flexural strength of 360-400 MPa and can be placed using conventional cementation.

The Katana system (by Noritake) offers four business models: Labs can purchase the Dental Wings 5-axis laser scanner and send scan data to Custom Milling Center for the design and mill phases; they can purchase both the scanner and software to gain more control over the scan/design process; they can purchase the complete scan/design/mill system; or they can send models to CMC for complete scan, design, and mill procedures.

Designed for polishing all types of dental acrylics, these Bredent polishing wheels combine fleece layers and bristles for optimal polishing when used with the proprietary pumice polishing paste. The synthetic fiber/fleece material is particularly suited for rapid pre-polishing of denture acrylics. Offered in a range of shapes and sizes, the brushes come in two styles: Abraso-Soft Acrylic brushes feature open-pore non-woven fabric and bleached bristles that use the heat generated during polishing to absorb polishing paste. They are designed to significantly reduce working time. Abraso-Buff Acrylic brushes are intended for pre-polishing applications. These brushes feature three rows of high-grade bristles and layers of specialized textile.

The inLab MC XL milling unit features optimized performance and precision to ±25 microns, which is 20% better than the current inLab system. Tandem milling burs now spin at 60,000 rpm for faster milling times to produce a full-contour crown in approximately 6 minutes, and capacity has almost doubled, enabling the unit to mill 40 to 60 units per day. Four burs mill the entire range of material blocks, eliminating the need to change burs when changing materials, and can mill large-span bridges up to 8 to 10 units. The large window at the front of the scanning/milling chamber allows visualization of the status as the chamber lights up in specific colors. The unit comes with a 3-year warranty on all parts and labor.
